Out of Hours & Emergency

It can be a very unpleasant ordeal when dental pain suddenly flares causing great discomfort. On occasion, it may be possible to wait a couple of days until a dental appointment is next available. However, there are times when the pain can be considerable and emergency dental care is required immediately.

At Leyburn Dental Practice, we provide emergency dental care because we care deeply about the needs of our patients. Few other dental practices in North Yorkshire can rival our level of service in this area.

The first level of service for patients is to receive emergency dental care during practice hours. We specifically allocate time for emergency treatment at 12.00pm, so please ensure that you phone reception as early as you can.

For dental emergencies outside of practice of hours, we have a second level of service. Adult patients registered with the practice can contact one of our emergency dentists who will be able to tend to their needs. The emergency dentist will treat you within the familiar confines of your practice, helping to alleviate a stressful situation.

Children registered under the NHS at Leyburn Dental Practice must be seen by the NHS out of hours emergency dental service. Phone NHS Direct on 111 and you will be directed to the nearest emergency dental clinic in North Yorkshire.
